Although it is not really imaginable that iGO My Way for iPhone would work on iPhone 2Gs also, but it is very funny to spot such a little graphical ‘mistake’ that Nav N Go advertises its product running on an iPhone 2G. But how a navigation software would work on an iPhone 2G that has no GPS module built in? On their product site you can see an actual image from the app placed onto an iPhone’s screen. I don’t know if the designer haven’t spotted the difference between the iPhone 2G and the iPhone 3G images but for the trained eyes the differences are clearly visible: On the iPhone 2G all the external buttons are black while the iPhone 3G has chrome plated buttons. Also as you can see on the edges that iPhone 2G has a clearly separated aluminium back cover and a black plastic that covers the antenna on the bottom. In opposite the iPhone 3G has a continuos black or white backplate.

So the iPhone on their demo site is definiately an iPhone 2G. Now the question is if that’s just a minor graphical bug or will there be some external GPS support for their navigation software to let me use their product on my iPhone 2G that has no GPS built in?
